It is not a <a href=\"https:\/\/techwriteredc.com\/best-hard-use-edc-knives\/\">hard use <\/a>tank and it is not a gentleman\u2019s folder. It lives in the sweet spot between those two worlds where most real cutting actually happens. It is the kind of knife you grab because you want something small enough not to notice but capable enough not to annoy you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>My version is the black G10 with the stonewashed blade. Nothing here is trying to impress you on a spec sheet. The<strong> reverse tanto style tip<\/strong> gives you control for detail work while still maintaining enough belly to slice cleanly. It bites into cardboard with ease and keeps that bite throughout the cut. You do not have to force it. You do not have to fight it. It slides through material like a knife that costs more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The stonewashed finish was the right call<\/strong>. If you put your knives to real use, coatings eventually tell the story. A good stonewash keeps the blade honest and hides the wear that naturally comes from opening boxes and breaking down shipping materials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is not a blade trying to do a dozen things. Most companies need a few models before they dial in a crossbar system but this one feels complete right out of the gate. The <em>lock bar<\/em> <strong>has enough texture to grab easily<\/strong> without being sharp. The <em>thumb studs <\/em>work cleanly in both directions and the <em>bearing action<\/em> is smooth without being sloppy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There is <strong>no blade play, no lock rock, no gritty drag.<\/strong> It closes with a confidence you expect from knives twice the price.
