The Odenwolf W Machete<\/a> is a heavy-hitting Skrama-inspired camp chopper<\/strong> that gives you a lot of performance for the money. It comes razor sharp, the dual bevel grind works in the woods, and it handles hard use without trouble. It is not as refined as my Varusteleka Skrama 240, <\/em>but it gets surprisingly close. If you want a serious bush knife without paying Skrama prices, this one is worth considering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I have carried the Varusteleka Skrama 240<\/a> on more trips than I can count. It has been a trusted camp companion for years and it is one of the few big blades I reach for without hesitation.
