RITUAL 35 SMALL BASE reviews

Having a bow that is able to be accurate one time is nothing special, but finding a bow that is able to be accurate with every shot is something to hold on to. The Elite Ritual 35 small base is one of Elite’s new, high-performance bows that is meant to shoot with consistency and precision.

Things to Consider Before Buying

The Ritual family of bows were designed with the goal of making the most efficient bow ever and making it well. The Ritual 35 small base is the largest bow in the Ritual line and has all of the same technologies used across the rest of the Ritual line. The Ritual cam family is designed to be efficient and smooth to allow for the most balanced shooting experience possible, all in an easily-adjustable and consistent package.

The adjustable draw weights that range from 40-70 pounds, meaning that a variety of archers can use the 35 small base and find their perfect shooting specification. The bow is able to shoot at around 316 fps to ensure a swift shot without being too powerful for less experienced archers to use effectively. The weight of 4.4 pounds puts this bow on par with similarly powerful bows, but has the build quality and rigidity to back up the impressive performance that other bows struggle to match.

Who Should Buy it?

The lower power and adjustable frame of the 35 small base variation of the Ritual make this particular model best suited for the less experienced archer who wants a top of the line bow, without the excessive power. The adjustable draw weights make this bow able to be made more or less difficult to draw, depending on the needs of the archer. The larger length of the bow means that older archers will be able to use this bow with more success than some of the smaller bows with less power.

Who Shouldn’t Buy it?

The Ritual line comes with a good variation of bows, and the 35 small base may not be the best for every archer. The lack of power and large size makes this bow less than ideal for the archer looking for a hunting bow that has the speed to reach longer distance shots. The heavier weight compared to other bows of this power range would also be a disadvantage to the younger archer looking for a new bow to try out.

Pros

  • The Ritual cam system used in this bow is efficient and smooth
  • The range of adjustability on the draw length makes this bow suitable for many archers
  • A large amount of customization is offered to personalize the bow and shooting experience

Cons

  •  The low power of the 35 small base means it is not ideal for longer range shots

Final thoughts

Despite its lack of power and speed, the Ritual 35 small base has all the essential components and pedigree to make for a truly deadly hunting bow.

One of the best Elite Rituals was the Small Base Bow. It has a draw weight of 135 grains and the string is made out of an aluminum alloy. This bow will shoot pretty fast but can be fairly heavy due to the aluminum shaft. Its not the most accurate bow that is available on the market today. It can only be shot with soft woods and soft leather. That being said, it is one of the most accurate bows to hit the market for it’s weight.

The Elite Ritual 35 is almost identical to the Small Base Bow. The draw weight is similar and it is slightly heavier due to the higher overall draw weight. But the difference is that it has a five or ten pounder to the end of the string. The strings are rubber coated and they are plastic coated as well. The string is pliable and easy to clean and it runs extremely smooth. It is also one of the easiest to store and carry. You won’t have to worry about it moving around all over the place.

The Elite Ritual 35 also includes a sling and a quiver to store the bow. This bow comes with a soft bag and the quiver is made from a linen material. The nylon straps on the bow handle come with a quick release buckle. The Elite Ritual 35 has a length of fifty-two inches and the length is adjustable as well. It also comes with a lifetime warranty. It is nice to see Elite Rituals coming back for years to come.
